Cinder 1/1/2002 – 1/8/2022

Ingrid and I bid farewell to another fur baby early this morning. Cinder chose us back in 2005 after first startling the hell out of me in the barn. Ingrid found a couple, a country block away, who were missing their cat and returned her, only to have her come wandering up the driveway the next day, chatting to herself. It was decided then that she would stay with us.

Daisy

My little fuzzball Daisy. Her kidneys are failing and she hasn’t been doing well the last few weeks. Two nights ago (the night before her 17th Birthday) her breathing seems really shallow and we decided it was time to end her suffering but we were unable to get an appointment with our vet until late this afternoon.  We’ve been trying to keep her comfortable but she is declining really fast.  Last night, she suddenly decided she want to sleep in the damp bathtub.  We’re going to miss her, she was a really cool cat.

After almost a year working from home because of Covid, Ingrid says I’m starting to look like the imprisoned, serial killer father in the TV show “Prodigal Son”. Today while telling someone I work with what she said, I Googled for a photo of the actor, Michael Sheen, to show him and realized, I’m even dressed like the character. The real funny thing i s it is totally a coincidence as I didn’t have to dress up for this photo. I was already wearing that when I Googled for a photo of the actor. Black long sleeve long john shirt with a white V-Neck t-shirt over it and a light brown sweater. It’s what I normally wear around the house when I’m not going out. I had to photoshop in only the background.
